Child-Centred Play Therapy

Play therapy is a form of child counselling which uses play to communicate and help children from ages 3 to 11 to help prevent or resolve any psychological and psychosocial challenges, eg. separation of parents, trauma, loss of a loved one, chronic illness, emotional stress, behavioural problems, etc.  Through play therapy, children are able to express their experiences and feelings through a natural, self guided and self healing process. Children are helped towards healthier, better social integration, growth and development.

Leesa has a purpose built Child Centred Play Therapy room based at Muriwai Beach. This room provides a safe, confidential, contained and therapeutic environment. Parents are involved in their child's process and are empowered and assisted to help their child's progress in between sessions.

What People Say

“Extremely valuable on both a personal and professional level. Personally I have resolved, understood and moved on from many old issues. Professionally I am now equipped with an essential tool (a spiritual/therapeutic laser) which makes my work and my life richer, easier, more enjoyable and fun.”
